iPad/iPhone App and Dome Switcher

Sea-Tel Dome Management

C-Dome Application:
C-Dome is one of a suite of bespoke applications for Apple® iOS (iPhone or iPad) devices from Channel 28 Ltd.

Simple User Interface:
The app allows the crew to communicate with the installed Sea Tel® DAC 2200 TVRO Dome controllers. C-Dome accesses all of the commonly accessible settings for the DAC controller and the attached dome and allow engineers to set parameters and monitor signal levels.

Set the Domes from anywhere on the yacht:
The app uses a wifi data connection to the DAC units so that the engineers can be working away from the equipment racks, allowing domes to be configured and set whilst monitoring signals at the displays.

C-Dome RF Switcher with intellibloc® sensing
The CSX-802 switcher incorporates RF signal switching between domes based on monitoring real-time signal levels from the DAC units. This minimises signal loss due to blockage of the domes from the superstructure.

Extensive Satellite Database:
Channel 28 maintains an online database of currently broadcasting satellites which is checked by the app and updated as required. The software calculates which satellites are visible for the boat's position and the dish is aimed simply by picking a satellite from the list.

Satellite Database: Independent database of compatible satellites owned and maintained by
channel 28 ltd. An internet connection is required at time of startup to
check for current information.
The dome is aimed by selecting from the list of visible satellites based
upon the boat latitude and longitude.
Blockage Algorithm: Channel 28 intellibloc® algorithm determines blockage and switches
automatically as required (when using CSX-402 or CSX-802 switchers).
Traditional blockage points can be set on the DAC units using simple user
interface (without CSX switchers)
